Postgraduates: PACE

Postgraduate Association of Chemical Engineering

PACE, as the name suggests, represents the postgraduate students in the Department of Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering in the University of Melbourne.

We not only liaise between students, staff and academics to put forward student views and needs but organize a number of activities throughout the year. Our Forums occur once per month and allow students to present their research to an academic audience and obtain feedback from their peers. PACE will also hold a PACE meets Industry Poster Session this December where PhD students will showcase their research to a wide audience.

In addition to Forums, we hold a number of social events including movie nights, trivia nights, BBQs and ski trips. These events give members of the Department a chance to meet in a social atmosphere and are often heavily subsidized by the Association. The PACE Christmas BBQ is an annual event.

PACE Committee

The PACE committee consists of President, Secretary, Treasurer, Sports convenor and representatives. The members are elected at the Annual General Meeting usually held in March each year.
