Graduate Students: How to applyThe Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering always welcomes serious applications from outstanding students to undertake Masters or PhD projects with us. Masters and PhD students can start their studies at any time of the year. Applicants to the PhD program should have demonstrated potential for research. This might be demonstrated through the successful completion of a Masters by Research degree or research experience through employment. Applicants must have an Honours degree (or equivalent) in either Chemical Engineering or related engineering or science discipline. In the Australian system we normally look for applicants to have a minimum score of 75. On a 4-Point GPA scale this is equivalent to a score of approximately 3.30. Applicants seeking financial support through scholarships will require significantly higher scores. Before applying please study the Department’s web site carefully. Check the list of projects currently available for new students to start immediately. Also check the research interests listed on the home pages of the Department’s academic staff. Once you have identified a staff member or project e-mail that staff member directly expressing your interest. Once you have selected a project you should formally apply to admission to the program. Follow the links listed below depending on whether you are a Local or International Student. Only once we have received your formal application will be seriously evaluate your academic records, referee’s reports and other supporting information. When you do apply please ensure that your application is complete. Links |
