Summary
The research of John Provis is based around the development of mathematical and conceptual descriptions of various aspects of the process of formation of geopolymers. By combining an understanding of solution-phase and solid-state processes occurring during the initial setting and the later evolution of geopolymer structure, better predictions of geopolymer performance in a wide range of applications may be developed. Other research areas of interest include zeolite synthesis, siilicate solution chemistry and ion exchange modelling.
